Crazy Javali Branco is made from grapes grown in the “Clos da Bonifata” vineyard. This vineyard is designed in a terraced amphitheatre style and is planted with Arinto and Viosinho, two native Portuguese grape varieties that thrive on the slate soils of the site. The vineyard sits at an altitude of 600 metres in the village of Ervedosa do Douro. The clear bottle displays a lemon‑yellow hue. The nose of Crazy Branco starts enigmatically, thanks to a maceration process in a concrete vat to which the skins of white grapes harvested from the mountain were subjected. Mineral, almost metallic notes dominate, recommending a period of aeration after cork removal. On the palate, the “LOUCO” character blends lightness and youth, delivering a refreshing, mineral tasting experience with 12 % alcohol.
