This Quinta do Monte Alegre Reserva, crafted from Castelão, Touriga Nacional and Cabernet Sauvignon, certainly delivers an intense experience. The extended maceration, meticulously monitored during fermentation in stainless steel tanks, clearly left the fruit pondering its existence. Remarkably, the finished wine reveals intriguing notes of candied fruits alongside vanilla, and surprisingly, a hint of coconut – hinting at a unique terroir. Having earned 17 points from *Revista de Vinhos*, this full-bodied wine is one you won’t quickly forget. It’s particularly well-suited to pairing with grilled beef, perhaps with a sweet and sour glaze to accentuate the wine’s complexity.
