Situated in the city of Estremoz, the estate stands out for its beauty and its history, featuring a stuccoed 18th‑century building, charming gardens, groves, caramanchões, tanks, and other 18th‑century works of art, and today also for its excellent wines. The estate was in the possession of the Zagalo family for many years, who used it as a holiday home, but unfortunately in 1974, during the 25th of April Revolution, the house and estate were occupied and abandoned. In 1979 the property was purchased by Miguel Louro, who remains its owner to this day, and began wine production in the 1980s. (illustrative image only)
