Quinta do Pessegueiro “The grapes are crushed by foot in granite vats, giving this wine its dense and concentrated character. It reveals itself complex, rich in black wild fruits. The wine is still young and merits storage in the cellar for even longer. Consume from 2026” – Wine Enthusiast The 2019 vintage was characterised by large fluctuations in temperature and lower-than-normal annual precipitation, making it a dry year. Occasional rainfall during the harvest period had a very positive impact on maturation. The harvest provided high‑quality, aromatic musts, generally with higher acidity than in previous years. Vinification and ageing: The harvest took place in September. The grapes were transported in 22‑kg crates to the cellar. They were kept in a refrigeration chamber for 12 h, then gravity‑driven to the vats where full fermentation took place with foot‑crushing. The wine aged for 12 months in 225‑L oak barrels and 600‑L casks of French and Austrian oak. It was bottled in June 2021.
