This Syrah, Touriga Nacional and Cabernet Sauvignon from Quinta do Pinto is the product of a delightfully focused passion for fruit. The grapes, hand-picked and weighing in at a hefty 20 kilos per box, underwent a rigorous selection process – only an adega with discerning eyes could achieve such precision. Fermentation, carried out with wild yeasts and a touch of nonchalance between 24 and 28 degrees Celsius, has yielded a wine brimming with vibrant character. Nine months ageing in French oak has subtly softened the edges, making it a particularly well-suited partner to a hearty beef roast, if you’ll indulge me.
