Located in Alenquer, in the heart of the Lisbon wine region, Quinta do Anjo covers more than 120 hectares, surrounding a 17th‑century plot adjacent to a traditional terraced cellar. Legend says that the wine produced here, two centuries ago, was so outstanding in the area that it was worth many Pintos – the gold coin in circulation during the reign of King João V. Adding to this curiosity is the fact that the charismatic founder of the estate, nicknamed Pinto, gave the property its name; since then the estate has been known as Quinta do Pinto, and coincidentally, the current owners share that same nickname. The Pinto family’s passion for wine and their five‑generation connection to the land have been the foundation for the whole family’s enthusiasm and dedication to this project.
