Quinta do Portal is a Portuguese, family‑owned and independent company that has embraced the “Boutique Winery” concept with full passion. Besides producing special‑category Douro and Port wines, it also focuses exclusively on Douro Muscat and olive oil. This project, which took shape in the early 1990s, was built on Quinta dos Muros—a century‑old estate owned by the Mansilha family, where Port wine had been produced for four generations. With a forward‑looking vision, they immediately bet on creating internationally‑class Douro wines, joining the first wave of the new generation of Douro producers committed to quality. Thus, sustainability became part of Quinta do Portal’s everyday life, with vineyards managed under Integrated Production, ensuring adherence to environmental protection standards. The estate is also a member of The Porto Protocol, a movement that champions Sustainability, Optimism, and Sharing through Responsibility, Collaboration, and Commitment, promoting a world where companies unite to delay and counter climate change.
