Quinta do Portal is a Portuguese, family‑owned, independent winery that has wholeheartedly embraced the concept of a “Boutique Winery.” In addition to producing special‑category Douro and Port wines, it also exclusively produces Douro Muscat and olive oil. The project, launched in the early 1990s, was built on Quinta dos Muros—a century‑old family estate of the Mansilha lineage—and the Port wine that had been produced there for four generations. With a forward‑looking vision, they immediately focused on creating internationally‑rated Douro wines, becoming part of the first cohort of the new generation of Douro producers dedicated to quality. Sustainability now permeates everyday life at Quinta do Portal, where vineyards operate under Integrated Production, adhering to specific environmental standards. The estate is also a member of The Porto Protocol, a movement whose values include Sustainability, Optimism, and Sharing, achieved through Responsibility, Collaboration, and Commitment, fostering a world where companies unite efforts to delay and mitigate climate change.
