Quinta do Portal is a Portuguese, family‑owned, independent company that has embraced the “Boutique Winery” concept with great passion. In addition to producing special‑category Douro and Port wines, the estate also exclusively produces Douro Muscat and olive oil. The project, launched in the early 1990s, was founded on the centuries‑old Quinta dos Muros estate, belonging to the Mansilha family, and on Port wine that had already been produced there for four generations. With a forward‑looking vision, they set out to create internationally‑classic Douro wines, becoming part of the first cohort of the new generation of Douro producers focused on product quality. Sustainability has also become part of everyday life at Quinta do Portal. The vineyards operate under Integrated Production, which requires compliance with specific standards to safeguard the environment.
