Quinta Do Valdoeiro Branco

Description

With a clear appearance and a citrine colour with greenish nuances, this is a young white wine made from the Arinto, Bical and Chardonnay grape varieties. It shows an intense aromatic profile on the nose and a mineral character on the palate. The residual sugar is fresh and pleasant. Located in the parish of Vacariça, municipality of Mealhada, Quinta do Valdoeiro was acquired by the Messias family in the 1940s. From 1985 onwards, Messias, already pursuing the crucial strategy of controlling the raw material for producing high-quality wines, undertook the gradual reconversion of the Quinta do Valdoeiro vineyards. Currently spanning 130 hectares, of which 70 are dedicated to viticulture, the property lies within an integrated protection zone, where the enemies of the vine are combated through ecologically safe methods.
