Domingos Alves de Sousa gives life to his wines, following a family tradition started by his grandfather and now joined by his own children. He vinifies exclusively the grapes from his own estates, terroirs truly unique, and the quality and uniqueness of his wines are widely recognised, earning distinctions and references in the most respected national and international publications. Of particular note is the award of “Producer of the Year” in 1999 and again in 2006 by Revista de Vinhos, making him the first producer in Portugal to receive the most prestigious distinction twice.
