This wine from Quinta dos Frades certainly knows how to make an entrance – and it’s well deserved. The hand-picked grapes and traditional “foot treading” in granite lagars clearly inject a good dose of passion into the must. Following a vigorous alcoholic fermentation, a particularly discerning batch – chosen from the finest oak barrels – undergoes barrel ageing. Expect a beautiful interplay of Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca, ideally paired with a hearty beef stew.
