“These ‘Old Vines’ from Quinta dos Frades are a revelation – a luxuriously smooth red wine bursting with dark fruit, as if it’s spent time aging amongst cloves and spices. Built on the foundations of Touriga Nacional and the graceful Touriga Francesa, with a touch of Trincadeira, this Grande Reserva, which earned a remarkable 90 points, deserves to be enjoyed with a hearty beef roast.”
