This Tardia from Quinta dos Frades is a bold statement, no doubt. The extended head-aging, thanks to those Douro-Guaranteed Touriga Nacional and Rabigão grapes, delivers a complexity that’s frankly astonishing. Dark fruit notes of plum and dried fig are beautifully balanced by a vibrant acidity and a hint of spice, all lingering beautifully from the oak. Seriously, this is a wine that deserves to be enjoyed with black pork – and it’s guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.
