This wine, hailing from the Beira Interior, is a delightful surprise. Harvested by hand with a delicate touch – clearly mindful of preserving that precious freshness – and careful to ward off any unwelcome oxidation. Fermented in new oak barrels at a cool 16-20°C, it’s a welcome addition of wood influence. Boasting a respectable 91 points from *Revista de Vinhos*, the palate delivers a bracing acidity, a firm structure, and a wonderfully smooth, creamy texture. The aromas are complex, well-developed, and, of course, unmistakably Arinto. Wonderful with fresh fish or a roast chicken, I’d say.
