Quinta Nogueira Reserva Branco

Description

Produced from Arinto, Sauvignon Blanc and Encruzado grapes, it presents a citrusy colour with golden foamy heads, aromas of white‑fleshed fruit and mineral notes, blended with soft, well‑integrated woody nuances. On the palate it shows intense freshness and good roundness, finishing long and persistent. Quinta do Porto Nogueira was founded in 1738, in the first half of the eighteenth century, and has remained in the same family until the second half of the twentieth century. The current owners acquired it at the start of the twenty‑first century. The 20 hectares of vines are planted on clay soils, shaped by the micro‑climate at the foot of Serra de Todo-o‑Mundo and the proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, about 20 km away. The ungrafted vines exhibit unique characteristics, unrivalled freshness and a natural salinity, giving the wines a distinctive character. (illustrative image)
