Quinta Nova das Varandas Reserva Red is crafted from Touriga Nacional and Castelão grapes. It ages for six months in French oak barrels and nine months in stainless‑steel tanks, achieving a balance between fruit expression, structure, and elegance. It displays a deep ruby color. The aroma features notes of ripe red fruit, compote, spices, and coffee, complemented by delicate floral nuances and elegant smoky hints from the wood aging. On the palate it offers a rounded profile, good acidity, and firm tannins, delivering excellent balance and depth. The finish is long, persistent, and harmonious, reflecting the personality of this Reserva. Pitada Verde is a family‑owned project founded in 2009 in the heart of Ribatejo, dedicated to producing quality wines in the Tejo Region. With about 30 hectares of vineyards spread across the three Tejo sub‑regions (Bairro, Charneca, and Campo), it seeks to take advantage of diverse terroirs to create authentic, balanced wines. All grapes are grown using Integrated Production, reflecting a commitment to sustainable viticultural practices. In the cellar, gravity‑assisted vinification reduces mechanical intervention, preserving fruit integrity and varietal expression. Under the guidance of winemaker João Pedro Batista, each variety is vinified individually, resulting in wines that express the identity and richness of the Tejo Region. (Illustrative image only)
