This Reserva from Quinta Nova Grainha is a wonderfully understated wine – a reminder that quiet can be remarkably elegant. Predominantly made with Viosinho, complemented by a touch of Gouveio and Fernão Pires, it offers a surprising complexity. The small addition of Rabigato brings a refreshing counterpoint to the ripe fruit and tannins, making it exceptionally well-suited to roasted black pork. As recognised by a prize at the Douro Wine Competition, it’s a wine clearly deserving of attention.
