The bottles of aged wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is in line with their age. The National Wine Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We carry out a selection of brands/regions that, by nature, reveal distinct characteristics in aged wine tastings. However, we inform that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle, aromas are subject to different evolutions. Thus, the National Wine Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product quality, given that it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure to do it patiently to detect the appearance of sediment that, typically, an old wine tends to produce. (image merely illustrative)
