The Quinta Vale de Fornos, one of the oldest and most striking estates in the Tejo wine region, is today the product of the rich history that has unfolded here. Christopher Columbus once crossed these lands, and Napoleon’s troops were hosted on the property. The 18th‑century manor, preserved in its original style and colour, exemplifies a strong respect for tradition and heritage. The estate was gifted by Dona Antónia Ferreira (Ferreirinha) as a wedding present to her daughter upon her marriage to the 3rd Count of Azambuja, and was acquired in 1972 by the present owners, the Duarte Monteiro family.
