Raul Perez is part of the new generation of winemakers in Spain, and his passion for wine extends beyond the wines he produces and the regions he knows, nurturing a special interest in Portugal. With him, Niepoort shared opinions, bottles, and a common desire for ongoing exploration. Ultreia is the result of that pursuit, his view of the Douro as a counterpoint to our view of the Ribeira Sacra, in Ladredo.
