This Raul Riba D'Ave Azulera Reserva, served in magnum, certainly delivers a theatrical pink wine experience – almost deliberately so, I’d say. The Touriga Nacional provides a wonderfully smooth body, offering that comforting touch of perfectly ripe fruit, while the Touriga Franca injects a welcome burst of freshness that genuinely surprised me. Riba D'Ave clearly aims to demonstrate that rosé can be just as complex and refined as a good red, and it’s brilliant with grilled fish drizzled with lemon, or simply as a delightfully cooling treat on a hot summer’s day.
