Nero d’Avola is one of Italy’s most important grape varieties. Originating from southern Sicily, it arrived at Monte da Ravasqueira through the founder José Manuel de Mello, in a relentless quest to explore the terroir freely and craft atypical, challenging wines. The 2013 harvest turned this vision into reality, producing a unique and rare Portuguese wine that retains the original character while beautifully expressing the distinct freshness and mineral tone of our grapes.
