This blend, originating from the northern Rhône Valley, has spread worldwide, emphasizing its significance in Australia. The 2012 harvest gave rise to the first Syrah Viognier produced on Monte da Ravasqueira. Dark, dense colour. Nose with a mixture of peppers, ripe red fruits, tar, and a hint of peach and apricot. Mineral, full-bodied, with tannins constantly balanced by lively, vibrant acidity. Complex with notes of mocha, coffee, and biscuit. Fine, constant tannins with a mineral, mentholated finish.
