The bottles of the aged wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, as is expected for their age. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands and regions that, normally, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we want to inform you that wine is a living organism that, even when sealed in a bottle, is exposed to time and its aromas are subject to various evolutions. Consequently, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure you do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment that, typically, an old wine tends to produce. (illustrative image)
