Description

René Bouvier’s vineyards are located in the village of Marsannay, in Côte de Nuits, and have been in the family for four generations. Today the property—12 hectares in size—is run by his son, Bernard Bouvier, who blends Burgundy traditions with modern viticulture technology. They currently produce wines in 13 different appellations, all crafted using biological methods, with no fertilizers and only minimal sulfur and other treatments. The entire harvest is hand‑picked, followed by barrel fermentation and aging in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months, with 33 % of that time spent in new wood. The resulting wine shows excellent ageing potential, with a deep, fruit‑forward character and a real sense of power. (Illustrative image only)
