Description

The vineyards of René Bouvier are located in the village of Marsannay, in Côte de Nuits, and have been family‑owned for four generations. Today the 12‑hectare estate is run by his son, Bernard Bouvier, who blends Burgundy traditions with modern viticultural technology. Currently 13 different appellations of wine are produced, all handled with biodynamic methods, no fertilizers, and only minimal amounts of sulphur and other treatments. The entire harvest is carefully hand‑picked, followed by barrel fermentation and aging in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months, with 33 % in new wood. The wine shows excellent ageing potential, is fruit‑rich and deep, with a genuine sense of power. (illustrative image)
