Cultivated in the Lisboa region for centuries, Arinto is famed for its vibrant acidity and refreshing, crisp character. Often blended with local varieties like Sercial and Rabo de Ovelha to create uniquely Portuguese wines, the Arinto represents a significant 75% of the small Bucelas DOC, north of Lisbon. These wines, with vineyards dating back to the 13th century, are celebrated for their pronounced acidity – a quality that makes them perfect for blending and ageing, perhaps alongside seafood or light cheeses.
