Ribeiro Santo Encruzado - Dao Branco

Description

The grapes, exclusively from the Encruzado variety, were hand‑picked in the second week of September and packed into small 18‑kg crates, after a meticulous selection of the best fruit from the vineyard. The juice from the destemmed and pressed grapes was decanted at low temperature in small stainless‑steel tanks for 48 hours. After clarification, it fermented in 500‑liter French oak barrels. During fermentation a bâtonnage was performed, and the wine remained in the barrels for an additional five months. The colour is clear, with a green‑yellowish hue. The aroma is delicate, with notes of lemon, green apple, and dried linden flower. On the palate we find the same fresh fruit and the characteristic Encruzado mineral profile balanced with bright acidity. Sulphites are present.
