This Sant’Alfonso Chianti Classico feels plucked straight from a Tuscan fairytale. A powerful Sangiovese gives it backbone, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon tannins that lend it an elegant structure. A touch of Merlot adds a welcome softness, balancing the complexity of the core grapes. Having earned a respectable 93 points in Decanter, it’s certainly a wine to be savoured – particularly alongside some hearty tagliatellino with wild boar ragu.
