Founded in 1850 by the patriarch of a Portuguese family, Manoel da Rocha Romariz, the Romariz house originally focused on trade with Brazil and former Portuguese colonies, eventually expanding to England and establishing itself in the domestic market as a reference brand for quality wine production. In 1966 it was acquired by Guimaraens & Cia., which prioritized the national market to consolidate the brand. However, in 1987 it became part of an English group that concentrated on developing and maximizing the potential of Porto Reserva Latina, which today is the true brand image of Romariz. The vintage year may not match the image presented.
