Description

The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar is obliged to store all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance that reflects the wines’ age. We select brands/regions that typically reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism; even while sealed in a bottle, its aromas evolve over time. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe first, which helps release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you decide to decant before serving, do so patiently to detect any sediment that a mature wine tends to form. (Illustrative image)
