As bottles of old wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar commits to store all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, by convention, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle, aromas are subject to various evolutions. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product's quality, given that it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate first, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years sealed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, ensure you do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which a typical old wine tends to develop. (illustrative image)
