This Sagrado do Douro white wine is a real curiosity, boasting a vibrant yellow hue and a definite promise of freshness and minerality. The aromas are a delightful dance of apple and apricot, perfectly reflecting the blend of Viosinho, Gouveio, Códega, Malvasia Fina and Rabigato grapes. Careful hand-picking, direct pressing and cold maceration have bestowed upon it a remarkable elegance, paired with a lively acidity. After spending 10 months in used oak barrels, it’s developed an even more complex profile – utterly brilliant with fresh fish and seafood, I’d say.
