Susco, meaning "shy" in the Apulian dialect, is a fitting description of the Susumaniello grape, which over time tends to be "stingy" in its yields. Today, thanks to the efforts of wineries such as San Marzano, this grape variety is making a comeback in the vineyards of Apulia. A 100% Susumaniello monovarietal, Susco is a wine characterized by a complex bouquet and elegant tannins.
