The House of Sandeman was founded in London in 1790 by George Sandeman, a young Scottish man from Perth who decided to invest £300 borrowed from his father to start a business selling Port and Sherry wines. Ever a pioneer, Sandeman was the first company to brand a cask on fire with its name, guaranteeing the quality of the wine it sold. Over more than two centuries, Sandeman has built its success on a rare capacity for innovation and the expertise passed down from generation to generation.
