This São João Lote Especial is clearly a wine obsessed with meticulousness. Harvested at the “ideal” moment, the grapes underwent a remarkably gentle pressing, followed by fermentation at a cool 16°C and a three-month battonage. The result is a vibrant, intensely citrine wine, boasting aromas of white fruit, citrus peel, and a touch of dry grass – as if it’s been having a lengthy conversation with a herbalist. Remarkably fresh and full-bodied, it’s destined to pair beautifully with fresh oysters – a classic combination that deserves a truly excellent wine.
