São Lourenço By taking advantage of the fabulous argilo‑calcareous soils of our Bairrada estates and adopting the same philosophy used for our best wines – namely dry‑land vineyards and gravity‑driven movement during vinification – one obtains a wine that is true to its place, authentic and genuine. In fact, it reflects more its origin than its grapes, while upholding our quality motto: to show what Portugal has best, at any price level. **LOCATION:** S. Lourenço do Bairro, Bairrada, Portugal **TERROIR:** Atlantic‑influenced climate, sheltered by the Serras do Caramulo and Buçaco. Vineyards planted at high density (up to 6 172 vines per hectare) on gentle hills of argilo‑calcareous soils in the region’s famous limestone area. Vineyards are entirely dry‑land. **VINIFICATION:** Manual harvest with selection on a choice mat at the cellar entrance. Followed by de‑stemming and crushing, then transferred to stainless‑steel vats with temperature control for alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. Maceration lasts about 20 days, employing the delestage technique. Part of the wine is aged for 24 months in used 225‑litre French oak barrels, then further aged for 12 months in the bottle before release to market. **CONSERVATION:** Stored in a cool place (12–14 °C), protected from light, with minimal temperature swings. **LONGLIFE:** Ready to drink now, but will evolve positively for up to 10 years after harvest. Allergen information Contains sulfites. SKU: 101263
