Since its inception, Quinta do Olival da Murta has a long history of grape and wine production. With a climate shaped by the Atlantic and the nearby Serra de Montejunto, the estate is situated in the Óbidos subregion, one of the nine original designations of the Lisbon Wine Region. This area is known for aromatic red wines rich in tannins and with excellent bottle‑aging potential, as well as a wide range of fresh, balanced white wines. Serra Oca wines are made from Portuguese varieties using low‑intensity viticulture and without synthetic chemicals. The harvest is done by hand, and the grapes are vinified simply with naturally occurring yeasts, giving primacy to time as the key factor for the wines’ quality. (Illustrative image only)
