The bottles of the aged wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is normal for their age. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, by default, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism that, even while sealed in a bottle, is subject to different evolutions over time. Accordingly, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, given that it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine air out first, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years of closure. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, be patient and watch for the appearance of sediment that an old wine tends to develop. (illustrative image)
