The bottles of vintage wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to the age of the bottles. We select brands/regions that, as a rule, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we inform that wine is a living organism that is exposed to time, and even while sealed in a bottle, its aromas are subject to different evolutions. Accordingly, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years of being sealed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, be sure to do so patiently so you can detect the appearance of sediment, which tends to form in older wines. (Illustrative image)
