This Susana Esteban “Anfora” is clearly aiming to shake things up in the Alentejo. Primarily built around Trincadeira and Aragonez, it delivers a wonderfully robust and earthy character, brimming with ripe black fruit and a subtle hint of spice. The innovative aging in an amphora certainly adds to the velvety texture and a lingering finish – perfect alongside a perfectly grilled steak and roasted potatoes, if you ask me.
