Taboadella An unusually cool spring, coupled with the intentional delay of pruning chosen by the technical team, set off a slight lag in the cycle, thereby avoiding production losses from the late‑April frosts that struck the demarcated Dão region. The months of June and July up to mid‑August were hot and dry. From mid‑August, some night‑time precipitation paired with high daytime temperatures provided a balanced ripening evolution, yielding exceptional grape quality. These particular microclimate conditions of Taboadella enabled us to craft wines of profile and richness that mirror the unique terroir from which they arise. Vinification: 100 % crushed by vibration. Barrel stage: 20 % new 500‑litre French oak barrels; 80 % in second‑year 500‑litre French oak barrels, for 9 months. Bottling: June 2023.
