“This Taboadella Reserva clearly spent a good deal of time chatting with the Dão’s granite – you can taste it. Predominantly based on Encarnação Murchão and Veluz, it’s a surprisingly elegant wine, demonstrating a firm, yet refined, expression of these classic Dão grapes. The aging in 2nd-fill American oak has layered in notes of vanilla and spice, beautifully complementing the ripe red fruit. A seriously persistent wine; perfect for pairing with a hearty beef stew – a fitting reward for a truly memorable experience.”
