This Tall Horse Sirah certainly announces itself with a heroic flourish. You’re immediately hit with ripe black fruit – think blackberry and cherry – layered with a warming spice note characteristic of the Bairrada climate. The tannins are impressively integrated, lending structure and elegance to a powerfully concentrated wine. Seriously, it begs for a hearty grilled steak with a rich red wine reduction; a pairing that respects its intensity and, frankly, deserves a good discussion about it.
