The Tapada do Chaves white is made from grapes grown on the Vinha do Castanheiro vineyard, planted on granite soils. It displays a green‑citrus colour and a classic aromatic profile, without oak ageing, where notes of white fruit, floral nuances and citrusy orange‑zest flavours stand out, accompanied by subtle brioche notes. On the palate it offers great volume and body, with expressive fruit, firm acidity and delicate mineralism. The finish is long, elegant and full of character, accurately reflecting the terroir’s identity. The Tapada do Chaves wines are produced in the surroundings of Portalegre, on the lands of Alto Alentejo. For almost a century this estate has been producing wines of recognised quality, among the best in Portugal. The Tapada do Chaves wines preserve the warmth and softness of the Alentejo region and are associated with a strong family tradition, a history of passion and dedication to the land. Originating from the estate’s own vineyards, with vines aged between 15 and 85 years, these are wines to cellar and later savour in full. (Illustrative image only)
