Teixuga tinto comes from old vines aged 50 to 70 years, planted on granite soil. Made predominantly from Touriga Nacional, it was aged for 40 months in new and used French oak barrels, followed by 18 months in bottle. The wine is a deep, intense red with great aromatic complexity. On the palate it is very balanced, with an elegant finish and long persistence. Caminhos Cruzados was born from the initiative and determination of Paulo Santos, a native of Nelas, who, determined to return to his roots and invest in the wine world, decided to transform an old agricultural company into a modern wine‑production and bottling enterprise. The company’s philosophy is based on producing quality wines, blending tradition with modernism and constant differentiation demanded by the market. Its wines are made from its own vineyards and selected producers, all recognized for their quality and excellence in grape varieties, all in the Dão region.
