Tenuta delle Terre Nere is situated on the north-facing slope of Mount Etna, where the edapho‑climatic conditions are exceptionally unique and, coupled with its high altitude, give the wines a character reminiscent of Burgundy or Barolo. The estate has been transitioning to organic viticulture since 2007 and received official certification in 2010.
