The bottles of older wines may show dust traces and damaged labels, which is expected given their age. The National Wine Cellar ensures all wines are stored at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it always opts to preserve the visual appearance characteristic of their age. We select brands/regions that, normally, reveal distinct characteristics in vintage wine tastings. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism that, even when sealed in a bottle, is subject to different evolutions over time. Therefore, the National Wine Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe beforehand, which will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant before serving, make sure to do so patiently to detect any sediment that, typically, an old wine tends to develop. (illustrative image only)
