Terroir Sense Fronteres This is the new Premier Cru of Terroir Sense Fronteres. It is made from old Garnacha Tinta vines from the Els Montalts vineyard, situated at about 800 metres above sea level in the Montsant mountains. Though it comes from the same vineyard as our Guix Vermell, the grape selection is from a different plot, so both wines possess their own distinct personality. As our winemaker Tatjana Peceric explains, “With a lighter extraction than Guix Vermell, Marcenca reflects the beauty of the incredible terroir and micro‑climate of Montsant’s heights.” The grapes are vinified for 6–8 days in whole bunches with wild yeast in concrete tanks before aging for six months, also in concrete.
